The Marvelows' version of the Channels always got my vote by a mile. Johnny Pate's prod. gives it a somewhat dramatic treatlment and the wonderfull plaintive voices of the guys add to that. While the original cut by the Channels was produced by the classy Teacho Wilshire is more pop to my ears. Even though, most seem to still go for the Channels. It is maybe due to the fact that the Marvelows version has less exposure. Or is it because it is less "jumpy" or "fast" for the acrobatic dancerl ? I also find this Marvelows 45 to be scarcer than the Channels. Listen to it and make up your mind. Flip 'do it' is a real nice feel good sequel to their hit 'I do'. Condition is Ex and tiny red WOL on both sides. Soundclips from actual record for sale.
