The building above the new home of the Twisted Wheel has been involved in a fire today, at the moment it's only smoke damage affecting NQ Live and the Wheel will be going ahead as planned tomorrow after clean up.

More updates will be posted later here and on Facebook plus the Twisted Wheel web site

Water damage as stopped NQ Live opening for the rest of this weekend.

The Twisted Wheel will be held at club Alterego this is a two room venue.

Could you tell me is it far from Piccalilly station we get there at about 1.30.

Alterego is a cellar club with a great atmosphere that I'm sure the Wheel regulars will take to with no problems at all this Sunday, Pete you will enjoy it mate I'm sure, I wish you well and a speedy return to your the Twisted Wheel home.

It's a shorter walk than NQ Live! walk down Portland street to the lights at Princesses street turn left and Alterego is 50 yards on the left.

It's not looking good I'm sorry to report, the fire is spreading and there are now concerns for the building itself.

Walk along Whitworth St and turn right at Princess St, up over the canal and the club is about 50 yards on the right. 5- 7 mins.

Just walked past it, looks like it's been pretty gutted. Such a shame...

Just spoke to Carl and he told me the roof of the building is on fire, as you can imagine Carl & Sue are feeling this big time after all the hard work turning this club round from something no soul fan would have set foot in too the home of the famous Twisted Wheel. It's been a hard slog for the NQ Live team.i know Carl & Sue are family but I would really feel for anyone that had shown so much dedication and hard work if they lost it due to no fault of there own.

I hope Pete and the Twisted Wheel family take to Alterego IMO it's a club made for the Wheel.

The thought that nobody lost life was a small blessing in this tragedy last night, im gutted to find out this morning that a fireman perished fighting the fire.

RIP Fireman Stephen Hunt sympathy to your family and all the brave firefighters across the country.

Two 15 year old girls have been arrested now on sus manslaughter. This is terrible, that poor fire fighter.his family and work mates must be devastated.

It affects so many life's when this happens to a firman, we all know to well this kind of thing happens with the dangerous job but when it's arson it's so much harder to take.
