Been playing this recently and was wondering if any of you "spotters" knew anything about this Chi Chi character!?

Brilliant midtempo ender, I know Rob Holmes has played this a few times but apart from that, nothing!

==========

did a couple of things on kapp

been playing both tracks at coppertops to little or no response, prefer "if your gonna love me"

rob h.

Beautiful track, been played by a few. Tried to find out about her a while ago (think I even asked on here wink.gif ) but couldn't find any info anywhere.

I believe that Chi Chi also recorded under the name Chi Chi Mcauley. She cut a few "Spectorpop" singles for Red Bird the strongest being " I know he loves me"

(Red Bird 10-004) from 1964...which I own. "Just let it happen" was record two years later I think.

"If your gonna love me" was played by Carl Willingham a few years back.

She remains a fairly mysterious and elusive figure as most girl group style singer of that generation tend to be, but "just let it happen" is a truly wonderful record....soaring strings and rolling drums and a heartfelt yearning vocal.

I managed to secure Mr Franklin one about a year ago.... wink.gif
