Had a great email from the author of "Soul or Nothing" (see news item for info) Kimasi Browne
Some of you may know him from past visist to UK, am looking at putting up a more detailed item later on, however as part of the info concerns today will just post this up for now
I will be.presenting a paper based on the dissertation tomorrow at the
Manchester Institute of Popular Culture at Manchester Metropolitan
University in City Centre.
The paper is being presented at an academic
conference called "Manchester: Music and Place" to a group of cultural
studies scholars from all over the world, most of whom have never
heard of Nothern Soul.
as said its just a quick shout for now, mainly in case anyone is in Manchester area and not aware
