I've just seen a trailer at the bfi for what looks like an incredibly powerful sixties movie 'Nothing but a man'.

This film is advertised as having a soundtrack by Stevie Wonder and the original soundtrack was released by Motown in 1964 and a cd reissued in 1996.

The DVD is being put out by the bfi on 27th September, the film never received a UK release.

Has anyone ever seen it ? I for one can't wait !

(apologies if this has been covered befoe)

it's been up on youtube for a while - only downside is its split into parts. it's a great film in the  neo-realist .vein. Well worth watching. Hopefully the dvd will have  some extras.

Finally saw it at the cinema, it is a great, authentic movie set in Alabama in 1964 !

Much more worthwhile than endlessly banging on about the culture show :)
