Really good new modern soul from the pens of Ernie McKone, Toby Baker, GC Cameron and Linda Dixon, this has a real old school feel: mid tempo, early 80s grooves with real instruments and solid playing along with those understated vocals from Lady L.

Here’s the story: “Mississippi born singer Linda Dixon aka Lady L is a well established performer on the soul gospel & blues scene in the US. Known as the dynamic diva of soul she is renowned for her hard hitting high energy performances. In 2012 Lady L met singer-songwriter producer GC Cameron former lead singer of the Spinners and the Temptations, best known for his Motown classic hits “it’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday” and “it’s a shame”. After watching an impressive live show by Lady L, G.C.Cameron and Lady L teamed up and started working together”. The result is this, Boogie Back’s 2nd 45.
