You may have a view regrading Roy Hodgson's Managerial skills as England manager. Either way, he went up in my estimation, after I heard him correct an interviewer who mistakenly named  Roy's favourite groups...

Roy informed him that he more of "an Otis Redding or Solomon Burke" fan. Good man.

 

It led me to thinking about any 'celebrity' you know of that has, when questioned in the kind of interview in Sunday Glossy mags, or football programmes, answered "Northern Soul/rare soul......Darrell Banks/Jerry Butler/ Chuck Jackson...(insert any similar name).

 

I can't recall ANY such answer.....although I admit my reading matter may be limited somewhat.

 

Steve Davis...soul fan ....

Mick Hucknall...maybe

 

but any real Northern (as opposed to other music) fans out there?

 

 

 

not trying to be funny but this has been done loads of times before

just a search for the usual names  should take you to one of the many threads

 

best find one and then use that if you do wish to add, discuss  etc 

 

hopefully understand  why felt a need to comment
