That Rufus Wood isn't the original issue I'm afraid.

Technically it is a 2nd pressing,from the same year 1968.

I'm aware of no evidence to support this being a 60s press to be honest. I remember the black lettering copies appearing some after after the originals. I think it's a fair assumption that they were pressed to meet UK demand.

Earlier thread about this. JM stated that the black imprint is a legal reissue - same deadwax info etc, but was from around 1976. Which ties in with Godz's UK demand comment.

I've a blues and soul where this is being played and tipped by Soul Sam in 76 I think.Will try and find it.

I think you will find that the BLUE TEXT ORIGINAL press is identical to the BLACK TEXT PRESS giving evidence that both issues we're pressed in the same year.
