After 32 years on the scene a gang of us have been inspired to organise a nite of Classic Northern Soul. This is a 'one off' event to recreate those classic nites that got us in to the music in the first place. (And raise a few bob for liver research !) We are dancers not promoters as a rule!

Its a celebration of music from The Wheel, Torch and Casino. We are priviliged to have secured a jaw-dropping venue and that Tommy Hunt is going to be our very special guest on the nite. We are also pleased to secure Sean Chapman to headline DJ for us together with Stan Evans spinning the Wheel sounds. Making up the numbers (huh??) is Bob Storey coming down from Yorkshire, local superstar Jason Hunt (Belvedere, Bretby) and local grumpy heart-throb myself.

We believe we have the ingredients for a crackin nite.

Now I`m confused....if its a 76club revival why would you have Sean Chapman to DJ? More likely Ian and Beano, Glen and Dave...even PT..........these guys were the reidents down there........

76-burton. re union? cannot be complete without the PENGUIN going round saying get your coats. NEIL ?; good dj who went on to work for ITV ?. it must also have a blue plaque at the bottom bar for pete webster.

Collaborating with as many people as possible...we're trying to organise a quality Classic Northern Soul Nite in Burton. ....and thus far we've had loadsa great feedback from 76 Clubbers. (I used to attend c1976-1979, when I started working in Burton...)

We've a good regional mix of DJs.....with Jason covering the 76 sounds.....
