Looking for assistance from the Soul family regarding the above record. It was written by Ashford & Simpson but the only version I have heard is by the late Ms Winehouse. Was it ever recorded by anyone else prior to Amy  ????

The Dap-Kings played the backing track of Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin & Tammi. I like 'em both - but M&T is pure soul gold.

As far as I know it was written by Amy but sampled A&S Anit No Mountain backing track but haven't heard anyone else cover it as yet (should add I take it you mean with a Soul bent as there is one cover thats more left field Jazz)

Thanks for the info, I found the Amy Winehouse instrumental version on You Tube and it was then blindingly obvious.
