Simon S. And Initials In Run Out

My memory is fading, I seem to remember reading that some Simon S. carvers could be identified by two initials in the run out but cannot find anything in the topics.  Can someone help my memory and sanity please, been looking for an hour!!.

Thanks Pete, I thought I had read something. Sanity restored. Anyone know if there is a scan of a record showing what the initials look like please.

It is just a hand scratched PB - looks like someone has scratched their initials on.

Thanks, was just wondering how easy it would be to say change the P Into another letter and how obvious it might be .
