Just picked up a copy of a early/mid 70s Carl Douglas LP on german Bellaphon. It features his UK recordings from the 60s and was obviously released t cash in on the success of "Kung-Fu fighting".

Among the dross, the quality and the mediocre is a really stand-out track "You don't know "what I (know)". Very raw and simple stomper. I love it.

Does anyone have more information about it? Did it come out on 7"?

Is the song not You Don't Know Like I Know (Sam & Dave cover).  Don't think it came out as a 45 in the UK.

Yes, same as Sam & Dave. It sounded so familiar but couldn't make the link between CD and S&D :dash2:

Must have had a senior evening. I said I couldn't find anything about the track. Well, just a basic Google search away is a YT upload of it. It says "Demo Made In 1966 Recorded And Produced By PIERRE TUBBS". So I guess LP-only track.
