Just discovered I had a spare copy of his debut album from 1990 – £5 if anybody wants it?

JEFF REDD ‘A Quiet Storm’ (uk MCA) Includes the superb two step “Love High” which I seem to recall was a big spin at places like Parkers in Manchester at the time of release.

UK P&P £3 – Paypal is good.

PM to reserve. Ta.

Hi Mark - because of the quality he showed on this debut album I’d often wondered if he’d cut anything else?

A little bit of digging revealed that in 1993, Redd recorded a second 10 track album entitled ‘Down Low’. Unfortunately, it was only available in the shops for 3 days before MCA closed their entire black music department and all the CD's were recalled, pulled from the distributors and destroyed.

However it was too late to recall one export shipment to the UK and it's this shipment that went on sale and sold out within hours through the record shops. Apparently only 1000 copies were ever circulated.

In 2015 the Japanese label P-Vine records gave this CD a long overdue official re-release. And as a bonus they added a previously un-issued track to the package.
