Although not a big seller when released[1969]this little soul cut has become something of a cult classic, if it had a good second verse it might've sold a million, still one of my favs from back in the day.

And I could've bought a copy for 94c from Randy's Record Shop but I hadn't heard anything by any version of the Ambassadors back in the 60's ..
