Hi folks, i heard a nice tune in an old Cleethorpes documentaty (Channel 4) i like to identify.

Can anyone help and provide Artist and title? I Think it might be in the NS-TOP 500, but i don't know the tune.

Cleethorpes Northern Soul Weekender (Channel 4) 1996

Just in case the time parameter above is not working... it's played at 22:16 min. in this clip for approx. 20 seconds.

The lyrics are (roughly):
(I know i'm) headin' in the wrong direction,
'caused by a lack of affection
 I've been afraid ...
 (or something like this :))

The female vocals rings a bell - but obviously not loud enough ;-)

(i bet i got another records by the same artist in my box)

The requested song is played in a portrait of Doris Troy and some information is given about Doris,

but i don't think the records has any link to Doris Troy

Thanks for your help, cheers

Ole

Hey guys, thats the tuuuune! Thanks a LOT!! Cheers, Ole

I think the flip "I'm In Your Hands" is also included in that documentary when Wigan-bricks Wayne is dancing, as I recall.

What a blasting tune, by the way. As often, i love the BRIDGE the most.

"I'm In Your Hands" is the flip to her other big classic on the same lable," You Turned My Bitter Into Sweet".
