Sounds very much like Jimmy Dee to me ??

Front page results after searching on Google for J Dee (and the possible song title in the video you posted 'The Girl I've Been Looking For') does suggest he may indeed have cut a song by that title.. so a good possibility - or at least a starting point for further searching perhaps ?? Good luck with your quest, regardless..

Edit: Perhaps worth adding to the above.. that, as well as sounding to me like J Dee, it also sounds very similar to his V-tone release 'If It Wasn't Fore Pride'.. to these cloth ears at least

I had a listen to the posted cover up track in comparison to the jimmy Dee 45 on V-tone I mentioned above.. and do feel he could indeed be the artist featured in your posted video.

BUT.. in case it turns out that I am wrong - don't forget..

I did make earlier mention about my ears being made of cloth.. 

I hope you manage to solve the puzzle and identify the track & artist for definite, and wish you luck with it
