We are sad to announce that one of our Soul Brothers,  Tom Cooney (silver hair - known as 'old Tom') passed away last week.  For those who remember him, his funeral is at Altrincham Crem - 7th Feb at 10.20am.

He will be very fondly remembered by everyone as the man who loved to dance - always attending the Oakfield in Sale , Longfield Suite at Prestwich and the Twisted Wheel - and lots of other venues in his 'trademark' waistcoat.

We remember friends presenting him with a superb handmade waistcoat designed with musical notes for his 70th Birthday some time ago.

Tom was an  enthusiastic dancer, taking up much of the floor, clutching his rolled up, white hand towel, always a smile on his face as he glided. A good-looking gent, a much loved and respected friend to many. RIP Tom.

Really really  sorry to have missed this. Heard the news of his passing last week but not of his funeral date. RIP Tom and enjoy the dance floor in the sky.
