What's not love visually and musically on this one. Read the label credentials !!! And all that you read can actually be heard !!! Ray Lewis is a great artist for sure, but this double sider is out of quality proportion IMO. So don't forget to check the 'B' side with 'give my love a try'. The original to Linda Jone's later fabulous variation on Loma.
Those "garagy" sessions at the Vidalia studio capturing in the crudest way the vibrant transient mood of the artists in the moment are something else. And we dig that; saturation to perfection, deep as you like and complex enough to never get bore off. Reminiscent somehow to me of the golden age of the Jamaican 'Rock Steady' soundZ from late '66 & '67.
Condition of both labels and vinyl do show surface wear. But it barely affects play. So visually like a VG++ but play wise like EX. Scan picture is harsh. Looks better in the flesh !
