Just got this Brooks O'Dell, "The Lively Ones" on Columbia

Great rekkid I've been looking for for a while, showed up in the shop today. So, I was just listening to it and Googling, and it looks like people play the "Standing Tall" side much more - does Lively get a few plays? Such a great song...

Also got Lula Reed, "Take Your Time" on Tangerine, which turns out to be rather luvly too... Shining sun outside, 60 degrees in December, and some excellent new rekkids to play tomorrow night. What a great freakin' day.

Both Standing Tall and Lively Ones got plenty plays during the 80's...like you say heard Standing Tall the more of the two, probably the better as well, although can't really say I hear either played out lately. The one on Gold Watch Your Step also had the odd spin as has You Better Make Your Mind Up (well I gave it the odd spin or two in the 80's and fab record too ).
