Does anyone recall the sliightly different cut to Bobby Paris 'Night Owl' on Cameo Records

was there another cut to this as a friend mentioned it to me as he recalls from years ago somebody going on about it.....

Hasn't the UK London reissue got a different ending or something? I was going to include it in the Metropolitan Soul column in 'manifesto' but couldn't work it all out.

I remember a mate of mine having a white demo on Cameo when it was going for 80pounds around 1974ish or otherwise when it was massive but a mate of mine was talking to a guy at Keele and the guy he was talking to was an older guy who had served his apprenticeship on the scene and he immmediatley came out with 'this other cut'

now wether this is the same as you mention Simon I dont know but it would be nice to get to know thanks mate anyway for your reply........

The only difference is that the original 45 fades out and the reissue on London (and the bootleg on SOS) last maybe 5 or 6 seconds longer and come to a dead stop and do not fade out.

I wonder If any more of the Cameo / Parkway catalogue will be released.

There has been the recent Dee Dee Sharp, The Tymes & The Orlons CD's.

I just wonder If we will ever get a legitamate release for the other stuff

such as Bobby Paris, or will It all end at the London (ABKCO) release

regards the material that 45 cellar is on about it would be interesting I have a single by Ben E King and DD Sharp that as far as I know isnt too well known by many...........then again....anyway cheers pete.
