Hi

Anyone give me advice on whether an 'engraved' piece of viynl is a bootleg? Had someone tell me that unless viynl has a 'Factory Stamp' then it is not the original. Cant see why a bootlegger would engrave viynl anyway, what would the point be?

Any views would be apprciated.

Not true mate, some record pressing plants have their own stamp, smaller pressing plants don't have any and the log number is scratched in. I've got originals that have no stamp whatsoever, especially on the smaller independant labels.
