Richard Temple - That Beatin Rhythm

Recommended Posts

The standard original of Richard Temple has a Stamped H in the runout grooves.  This signifies it was made at the RCA Victor (Hollywood) pressing plant.

Also there are some originals that were made at MGM pressing plant.  I would think that they have the "bed" stamp. Other MGM pressed Mirwoods have the bed stamp.

Mirwood has no rules as to which is first, because they used various different suppliers to make their records.  For instance, a lot of there releases were manufactured in styrene by the Monarch record pressing plant.

Who would know now, which original copies rolled out of which factory first?

The MGM pressing should bear this I believe.....(taken from Discogs)

Pressing Plant ID (A&B runout): Block-shaped "S" stamp

Matrix / Runout (A label): 67-3090-A

Matrix / Runout (B label): 67-3091-B

Matrix / Runout (A runout etched): 67-3090 A 11 SM

Matrix / Runout (B runout etched): 67-3091 B 11 SM

if that helps any?

Yes it has the block shaped “S” stamp (I have always, as others do, refer to it as a “bed”).

And the bottom two matrix are in the runout also, the 11 is stamped.

Thanks for info, much appreciated.A7B31BE5-20E1-43D2-B539-190E4948D529.thumb.jpeg.24d857f5468396660dcc920a0c5ee60e.jpeg
