December 19, 20222 yr This is what i know Ian was a regular at Lees record store in Hialeah, Miami on his visits to the the US, I visited there in September 1973 just after Ian (who gave me his address). Lee advised me to check out the Goodwill charity shop in downtowm Miami the same adivce he gave to Ian a month before (when the famour haul was discovered). When i visited, there were still thousands of soul records at 10 cents each but most of the 'Northern' had been picked through, although he missed some as i came away with plenty of deCent ones. Goodwill stores and other charity shops all over the States were a rich picking for record collectors. i still think this so called discovery pales into insignificance when you consider what others have found since.
