Hiya, just recently joined the group…. a question for all you soul fans.  Kim Weston - Looking For The Right Guy and Barbara Lee - My My Sweet Love both sound a lot like My Guy. I really like these records but wondering if there are more like this that I don’t know? I’d love to hear some new versions or “soundalike” tracks of this classic if there are more out there! Hitch 😎

  • maybe Clara Wilson's version might impress you, obviously a cover verion, but worthy. Maybe suggest Clara Wood - Your After my Guy, as near enough? Patti & Mickey - My Guy, My Girl

Patti & Mickey - My Guy, My Girl on Impact does the impossible by mixing two Motown tracks (Temps and Mary Wilson) in one really good record.. I actually really like this track...a Harry Balk production, so Motown connections there, but I think before he joined the company?
