I recently found Village Choir - "Sweet Hot Lips" 12" on NY Street Sounds. It has an orange label and the same song, "Sweet Hot Lips", on both sides. The label has "Sir Charles Mattews" (with an "h" missing") written on it. Does anyone know anything about this release? Value? Bootleg? Didn't really look like one. Ace song though.

That's an orig 12" as far as i know - all the copies i've seen (not that many admittedly - say, 5) are like this!

I always remembered this record as being crap, having just played it I now realise I was wrong, its actually shit. Its a legit issue but worth nothing, purely because surely no one in their right mind would want to pay decent money for it. To me its a lame plodding lifeless excuse for a trip to a recording studio. Theres another 12 by them on a blue label from the same period, again very low budget release looking like recycled vinyl, and its an even worse song than the one in question here. Sorry if i've offended anyone but if this is ace then I'd hate to think what a poor record sounds like.
