Reposted for reference and navigation ease 29 Nov 2023 Robert was at Motown almost from the very start and his bass can be heard on early Tamla recordings, many of which he and Brian Holland had a hand in producing. He left Berry Gordy and set up Correc-Tone, where he launched Wilson Picketts career, which then took him to New York.
