Reed was a major songwriter and sometimes arranger for Carl Davis, especially for The Artistics, Chi-Lites, Billy Butler, and Barbara Acklin at Brunswick, and Davis' Dakar an Bashie labels.  I think he may have sung on several Artistic cuts, too.  He was also in the Pieces of Peace group.
