I think it's a great record. I can't stop playing it at home. Fast, shuffling groove with excellent instrumentation and a very good vocal. It's got jazz, funk and soul vibes running all the way through it. thumbsup.gif I think Gareth played it at Prestatyn and it sounded awesome loud. Frank Popp it aint!!

Not a soul album by any stretch of the imagination, more an acid jazz type set, can't see it having much of an appeal to the majority of Soul Sourcers. The title track 'My Thing' and 'True Friend' are great, but the best track for me is 'So Surreal'. I've tried to persevere with 'Don't Take It Too Hard' but it's just too frantic and messy for me, though I can see the 'norman' appeal it might have, in fact I posted it up in the Modern section a couple of months back and said the same thing.

Whent round to see a mate  today who played me theTuomo 45 and I really liked it' Cheers. soul sid

Just picked up the 45 from Crazy Beat on Gary Dennis' recommendation this afternoon....great stuff.
