November 21, 200717 yr Author I've put myself up for the next round of battle mixes on BTH. Going head to head with James G playing disco and modern soul (the split decision band, solid gold revue etc). Mixes can be found at www.bringtheheat.com - Enjoy ! The Semi Finals of the BTH mix battles have now begun. Due to a last minute rush and Hi-Fi failure my mix technically is abismal but I've included a few modern soul classics (Rivage, Target etc). Registered members cannot vote but you can still hear all of the 30min sets. Mixes can be found at www.bringtheheat.com - Enjoy !
November 24, 200717 yr Good stuff Mark, I really enjoyed your latest mix, tracklist for it please. Are there any links for older mixes in the tournament?! Edited November 24, 200717 yr by them
November 29, 200717 yr Author Thanks them, cheers for listening. November 29, 200717 yr I put Rahaan (BTH) on in Warrington last month and laid it on him, which I shouldn't have as we should have been going down the House route - but you do don't you, Billy Nichols, Leon Thomas, King Tutt, Larry Wedgeworth, Bileo, Frankie Crocker, Al Mason, She Devil, Blacksmoke, Jackey Beavers, Herbie Mann, Jewel, Wiili J & Co etc - he fucking loved hearing them, he didn't know them but he loved them, respect. I do fall in to this trap often but I remember the only US ('House' DJ, the pigeon hole actually demeans him as he is a Hispanic male with a massive musical history...and 54) bloke to catch me out was Hippie Torrales (Zanzibar/Turntable Orchestra) who buried me with stuff we know from the Northern scene [but he grew up with] at an after party. Yet again, I'm pissed, apologies to the board, just thought it may be interesting. Edited November 29, 200717 yr by Barry
