Got mine in the late 70s....always thought it was a mid 60s record but it says 1970 on the record.

Picked up a copy of this lately. I think it's the best version of the tune. It's the one with the most edge! Such a bassline.

I remember this being a huge track on the Mod scene in the eighties - superb track! If you've not already done so, check out the Big Mamma Thornton cut too (sorry, can't post a sound clip - that's all a bit beyond me! - maybe someone else on here could post a clip?). The Big Mama cut is pure r&b class!!!

i just missed out on one the other night on e-bay,

it's on the enterprise lable which i think was something to do with hayes & porter,

so it must have somethig to do with stax. it's also on the lp Black & BlUE Enterprise S 1018 Promo
