Released last year but seems to have been missed by most people, this is an album recorded for Phil La in 1968 but never released, tapes survived a house fire!Includes inst of the brilliant "I Want My Baby Back" but what makes it essential purchase is the absolutely amazing "I Can't Stay Away". Sound like a Butch cover up - really is that good and should be getting plays everywhere.

Yes had a great response to the Tyrone Ashley album. What a tune to be stuck in the vaults for so many years!

Tyrone/Sammy came along with Ian Levine to a Manchester Ritz all-dayer in the 70's and I remember going out for a steak with him,I was just starting Inferno and asked about masters he had access to and expressed interest in releasing "Job Opening" but he never mentioned he had a Phil LA unreleased album at home.

Had a few people PM'ing me asking if I have any of the Tyrone Ashley left - yes, the track is so brilliant I brought in a reasonable quantity and never mind the sales pitch, just get yourself a copy, this is a top top tune!
