Has anyone seen their names on anything else except J&S late 60s singles? They sound a bit West Indian to me.

Melvin Ragin produced Timmy Willis's Epic single I think. Early 1970s release and while Timmy himself was originally from Columbus, Ohio the other names on the label (Wah Wah Watson etc.) seem to suggest a Los Angeles recording session.

Well there you go. A quick bit of googling reveals that Melvin Ragin is Wah Wah Watson and was originally from Detroit.

Wow so he must have moved to NYC in the 60s to produce for Zell Sanders. Thanks for doing all my work today Gareth, I must remember to do that google thing more often!

But then again I just double checked and Wah Wah was 16 years old and living in Detroit in 1967 so it weren't him after all!
