Can someone help with some info about York? Or anywhere decent to drink in York?

I'm going up there in July (15/16 - why couldn't the charity alldayer be a week before?? :shhh: ) for the weekend with a couple of workmates and my wife. looking for suggestions on where to go for a night out, thanks.

Last year was best man at a wedding in Yorkshire (Boltham Abbey, nr Skipton).

Very pretty , nice. The kind of place you'd see John Craven reporting from on 'Country File' :lol:

Kinda surprised me though how,er, right-wing the people are there though - spoke to an old boy at the reception who was a bit 'Pinochet' on the vino demonstrating a novel take on race relations. Must have been in his 80s - asked if he could rest his hand on my shoulder. Informed him the kilt was "off limits"

No i think Worzellll is frum Debon but West country you're right can't think of anyone else from Wiltshire though Stu are you perhaps geographically challenged? I mistakenly think that i, a good Cheshire lad am from Wiltshire?

Doh, when I was younger whenever anyone did an impression of an accent it was a standing joke to say "from Wiltshire was he?"
