Dave - nothing in Swindon regualr as far as i know - plenty in Cheltenham / Gloucs / Worcs well attended and variety of tunes!! - lots advertised in oxford - have not been personally but have heard good reports. Potentially great allnighter in Power Station Berkely - Gloucs run by Dave Thorley with top DJs but poorly attended. I'm from E Yorks been down hear years and healthy scene if you are preepared to travel a bit. Bridgewater nights also good!

There are a couple of regular (monthly) nights in Bristol

- Go, Go Children (that I'm involved in) - all 60s - underplayed soul / r'n'b / boss reggae / even some 60's beat

- Getting Together - 60s / Crossover / 70s

Suggest you get down to Soulfusion (betweenn Cheltenham/Gloucester) on the 15th, you'll enjoy yourself no end!

I don't think there's a lot on in Swindon (if there is it's not very well advertised) but plenty in Cheltenham/Gloucester/Bristol. The extremely popular "Soulfusion" is on next - lots of cheesy, but good oldies and an absolutely cracking Modern room. If you want a bit more "upfront" 60's/R & B then give the Riverside, or Pete French's doo's a try!! Haven't been to Dean's event yet, but it's got a very good reputation. Lots of excellent choice there, plus a few C.D./bootleg events that from a passionate soul fan's perspective, could be described as "Shite" at best, though good fun I expect, if you're not fussy!!

I would say at the moment Swindon is the most Souless town in the UK

However there is stuff in Bath, Cheltenham, Worcester, 100 club, Bristol, Weston Super mare etc to look out for and worth travelling to, as most of the Swindon gang travel to all-nighters and not soul nights as such.Good buch of people down there, why not start something yourself !

If you don't mind driving then there's Bournemouth Uni do on sat 6th Dec.Future dates for next year already in events calendar.

Plus there's other do's on as well.Railway club and Opera House.

We used to think Oxford was the most soulless town until we created a monster and started our club.

Straight road (road from hell A420) from Swindon to Oxford. 35 miles approx.
