Saw an article in Manifesto by some character called Simon White in which he slagged off The Flirtations' Nothing But A Heartache, and by extension those who like that particular song.

Being a lightweight soul fan I don't generally read these magazines, but as it was given to me by an enthusiastic friend hey ho.

Now, as music and the appreciation thereof is completely subjective (rendering such publications largely superfluous, imho) why, just 'cos he's never, ever liked the track, is it only fit for 'hen night whores and closet homosexuals (I paraphrase)?

And more to the point how can anyone not like that song (oops, I'm at it now!)? Just hearing the intro is enough to get my heart racing (or maybe it's just the amyl nitrate... )!
