I was after this clip for some time now; I am dancing wearing white socks n sandals! The TV crew where filming for Channel 4 and following a group of Soulies at Cleethorpes Northern Soul Weekender. The real star of the TV show was the casino Brick, mega!

I recognize a few faces on the vid, my old bessy Mick Scott from Doncaster and Stu from Manchester.

Can any body spot any one else?

I can't remember what year this was? I left for a tour in Germany the week after so it was possibly 1996?

Yes 1996,the Doris Troy year, think 97 was Maxine Brown.I was there too,and remember seeing you and Scotty Stomping away.Think The film followed Lynne from i think Nuneaton in her bid to win the dancing comp. The winner was a guy called Daryl. That was a great period on the scene.

I was rung by channel 4 to see if I wanted to be in it as "the single girl on the soul scene" but I had a rather good job at the time so declined. Lynne Shaw took the part... even though she wasn't actually single any more and had to hide her boyfriend all weekend

the year was 96 and I ended up being one of the judges in the dance comp...

oh and I'm in it at the end (of the full length video - not the clip) with my sister in our false tashes...

Kirsty I remember you, I thought you where top totty and I think I had seen you a few times before at The 100 Club? Or possibly Bretbey? Can you remember drew? She had very short blond hair and I have not seen her since this video?

I also remember Shaun (mega sidies) , not shown in the clip, he is an old pal of mine and he was a 100 Club regular, he may well still be?

On the Saturday, the weekend Maxine Brown was on, I was stood out side our chalet (sharing with me, Scotty, Chris and Cheryl Donnahughe RIP), this massive convertible Cadillac pulled up with a chap asking if there was any accommodation left. I said he could get a shower in our pad a kip down if he wanted, he threw me the keys to his car and asked if I wanted to take it for a spin, Scotty and I was off our fookin faces and I drove around the sea front like the Fonz!

Mega!!

I'm still top totty

You'd have seen me at practically every 100 club, Bretby, Droylesdon, Wilton, Winsford, Congleton, Cleethorpes all through the 90s and then I had babies and stopped playing out so much :P

Have seen Dru twice this year - both times at Thorne. She may be at Rugby nighter in a fortnights time...

Somewhere I have a full video of this night, along with some additional footage taken by John Kingham. I'll have a look and if I can find it will lend it ya!
