Supercorsa
I've been listening to a track on The Soul Club site, by Darlene Love. It's called, A Long Way To Be Happy. Has anybody got any information such as label, price & availability (if not too expensive where I might get a copy)? Link to comment Social source share

Guest Kolla
It's an unreleased Phil Spectre track. Only available on album, as Grant mentioned, inc the Phil Spectre box set. Darlene's own website doesn't have much in the way of a discography at all but if you're inter4ested in her (and some very very nice photos) this website does - https://members.tripod.com/~rauschj/DARLENELOVE.htm Link to comment Social source share
Supercorsa
I've just been reading the May (2006) issue of Manifesto and I was surprised to see Tim Brown talking (or writing) about this track. Anyway I've posted a soundfile up in the gallery if anybodies interested to hear what Tim's going on about. >> Click here to Listen << Mods might want to move this now to Look In Your Box section, thanks. Pete S
I reviewed this over a decade ago, nice to see them all keeping up It was planned as a single for darlene but they decided to keep it in the can as she was doing too much session work at the time. I've got her autobiography and she mentions this. It's autographed and dedicated by the way (the biography), found it in a little village charity shop, strange! Cover-up
Think it originally came out on a Phil Spector "Wall Of Sound" compilation - there were about 7 volumes in the mid 70s (Crystals, Ronnettes etc.) and a few compilations. Think it's called "Rare Masters". Actually, all is revealed here: www.bsnpubs.com/la/psi.html It's on "Rare Masters Vol. 2" - the album with the captain holding a bunch of tapes...
