Welcome to a new podcast - I think this is my first one this year! Sorry for letting things go slack but we had a baby in November so I have had less and less time to spend on the computer. Anyway, I'm going to do a series of new podcasts with a slightly different them, and I hope some of you will enjoy them. All tracks are taken from UK label 45's and are predomanently Northern Soul but will include British produced records as well as the usual American ones, so there will be Northern, Pop Stompers, Beat Ballads, Slowies, and maybe even a little Doo-Wop. I honestly don't want to catagorise them so I'm calling this series PETE'S CABINET OF CURIOSITIES.
If you're interested in 100% real soul podcasts, I've done loads of those and they are still available, this time I just wanted to do something a little different. Anyway, here is the track list for Part 1.
