Just found William DeVaughan's version of "I've Never Found A Girl in one of my throw away boxes, as I couldn't remember it, I gave it a spin, it knock me off my feet what a great version, I can't understand why I had missed it previously. Your thoughts?

Took thw words out of my mouth. It's sheer quality but maybe it's too cheap a record for some people! Sometimes it seems that unless it's a £100+ 45 noone is interested

I don't think it's on the Tec 45 just the EMI 7" and 12" ...is it?

Oh hang on, I said that.

Al Green's version suffers from the same availability 'problem' - you can pick it up on UK London (wasn't on a US Hi 45) all over the place, for a fiver or thereabouts, and it p*sses all over most records that cost ten times that amount...

...also love the Mad Lads version on their "Mad, Mad, Mad, Madl Lads" album and, of course, nobody beats Eddie Floyd's Stax original (another record that, for many years, suffered from 'Commonitis'....)

What is this?

What is this?

'Commonitis' = a surfeit of copies of a really great record that would cost a fortune everywhere, if only a handful had ever turned up. It's not in any dictionary, but it ought to be IMO
