Due out today the latest 45 from Izipho Ten-63 - You and Me / Sat We'll Stay - Izipho Label details follow below Legendary Memphis soul brothers William, Bertram and Randy Brown released an album under the group name TEN-63 entitled FACING THE MUSIC, it was published in 2009, but recorded sometime earlier. YOU AND ME was played out and initially covered up by Mike Ward circa 1989/90 receiving cult status. YOU AND ME and our pick for the flip SAY WE’LL STAY are beautifully constructed songs with each of the Brown brothers serving up a solo part, it cannot be denied their contrasting vocal styles and harmonies are supreme in the extreme! The Browns’ contribution to the Memphis music scene is etched in history. William, who sadly passed away in 2015 was a member of The Mad Lads. Randy and Bertram were members of The Newcomers, Bertram went on to be a part of soul funk group Kwick and of course Randy had a glittering solo career with LPs on Parachute, Chocolate City and Stax as well as numerous singles; he is regarded by many as being one of the finest vocalists of his genre. Bit of a re-jig on the way the site admin account is run/displayed/made-up Back in th early days I used to use one account on the site, as time passed it seemed that having 2 accounts , one for admin, one for own personal use may work better and so 'source ' account was setup just for that here in 2023i, the use of two accounts has been getting a bit unwieldy and as teh site continues to evolve it seems a bit unnecessary So both the 'mike' and the 'source' account have been merged into one and am now reverting back to 'mike' Just so ya aware if wondering what/where/why etc etc

The Ponderosa Twins Plus 1 - Bound 7" An American soul vocal group that would go on to shape the sound of pop music much farther beyond their imaginations, Numero is proud to present the first official American 45' repressing of the original 1971 release of Bound b/w I Remember You. Michael Dixon & Joy -You're Everything 7" Former Mind & Matter bandmates James "Jimmy Jam" Harris and Michael Dixon teamed up for 1978’s gospel-boogie banger "You're All I Need" b/w "You're Everything" on the private Mad label. Lucky Rosenbloom - Keep Your Faith In God 7" In a club scene saturated with the Minneapolis sound, Lucky Rosenbloom was searching for something different. Using Korg and Moog synths, Steinway Concert Piano and a Boss DR-110 Dr. Rhythm, he created his own funky fusion sound to spread the word of God to the mainstream. Recorded at Minneapolis’s Custom Record Studios he cut 200 copies of this elusive 45 of which only a few known copies exist. The record was promoted on his cable access TV show “Lucky Mania TV” where he encouraged kids to say no to drugs and take their vitamins. hats off for the halfway mark, myself found the good thing with using the programs like the couch5k is that they gave me a focus/goal for each run, whilst when going thru loose periods of just going out for a run, it's just too easy to take the easier option be it route, pace etc am currently just back on a Garmin coach under x mins for 5km programme, with the current goal/aim is to try and get back down to 2019 times and achievements, which is turning out to be quite hard work
