The first two Crossfires really took the roof off, with a massive, 800-strong crowd packing in each time to enjoy the best in Northern Soul, R&B and Beat sounds, supplied by some of the leading clubs in their fields, all coming together in unity to celebrate an enthusiasm for their own music, and respect for each other's. The night is now well and truly established as one of the hottest events on the scene, with a combination of unbeatable sounds and a storming atmosphere that adds up to one truly unforgettable night. Mark Ellis passed on sad news Could you please let the soul scene know on my behalf that Pete Day from Rotherham passed away yesterday at 6.30 am. Pete was a top bloke & one of us through & through, never a bad word for anyone & out with his lovely wife Jane virtually every weekend, hell be sadly missed, in fact he allready is, many thanks, Mark.

Rob W asked me to pass on the sad news, that Paul Cakebread a well known Rotherham ex-Wigan and Clifton Hall regular has sadly passed on suddenly. The funeral is to be held at Ordsley Crematourium (near Barnsley) this Thursday 19 Feb at 3.30. Further details to be posted
