durand jones & the indications private space / sea of love The A Side features the album’s title track and is a laid-back, string-enhanced, smooth progression where guitarist Blake Rhein plays minimal but on-the-money strokes. The flip is an uptempo, drum heavy beat with lyrics depicting heartbreak and longing. “Sea of Love” delivers on that smell good, look good, feel good ’70s synth sheen arrangements, lavish string charts, and double-down confidence from a band who gets to move their core expertly into a different decade. Event: Lea Hall Rugeley All-nighter Review: 5 stars by Geeselad. Event Date: 5 Oct 2024 Third installment of this event and I had a great night. This venue really does deserve to be back as a nighter, large dance floor, clean ample seating and parking, in terms of balloons its one of the best. Musically early doors delivered quality classics and some interesting selections but it was when col and Gaye kidson stepped up to the decks that the night stepped up a gear, for me. Over the years, they captured exclusive video interviews with legends like Ammon Tharp, Charlie Brown, and Jackie Gore, collecting priceless memories along the way. They realized that what began as a book had grown into something more. The music was top draw, with many varied sets. All the djs did us proud and the dance floor was busy. Sad that Rob couldnt make it and I hope he gets well soon.
