Event Review: Culcheth - Stockholm Soul Comes To Town
Event: Culcheth - Stockholm Soul Comes To Town Review: 5 stars by Agentsmith. Event Date: 5 Oct 2024 Train of thought is Lancashire has the upper hand where thinking mans music functions is concerned, over thills at least one enterprising promoter is of the same ilk....i think a venue has to fit that bill in the first place, where people feel comfortable with their surroundings, that possesses a great atmosphere, a not overly big dancefloor and a music policy that, from the off, bears no resemblance to bog standard but instead, encorporates class forg... Event Review: Culcheth - Stockholm Soul Comes To Town
Event: Culcheth - Stockholm Soul Comes To Town Review: 5 stars by Jessie Pinkman. Event Date: 5 Oct 2024 I totally agree with the reviews already posted on here. Musically top notch to a great appreciative crowd. Rarities mixed in with lesser known stuff Highlight of the night for me was when Carl blasted out Harold Melvins Bad Luck mixed in between the quality rare stuff, next the doors burst open and this guy, probably on his way to the toilet from the modern room, ran onto the already busy dancefloor with that I love this record look on his face, an... Event Review: Culcheth - Stockholm Soul Comes To Town
Event: Culcheth - Stockholm Soul Comes To Town Review: 5 stars by Mickyfinn. Event Date: 5 Oct 2024 A regular highlight of the Soul Calendar for me. This two-room event never disappoints. I expected a relatively quieter evening with so many competing events, but the loyal vibrant crowd proved otherwise. The Rare and Underplayed (main room) is an absolute treat for soul lovers, who appreciate the deeper cuts, that must be heard out to be truly appreciated. Another incredible DJ line up, spinning Soul gems one after the other, throughout the evening... Tap to view the full event review

Event Review: Nottingham Northern Soul Motown Oakleigh Lodge
Event: Nottingham Northern Soul Motown Oakleigh Lodge Review: 4 stars by Jon e Boy. Event Date: 4 Oct 2024 Havent been here before but people in the know said to get there early to catch the first DJ WILLOW, she did not disappoint and played a superb set, in particular playing Gene Chandler followed by Drifter, Ray Pollard, and other gritty northern tunes. Smart move as it set the scene, but later the momentum was lost. Motown lovers were well provided for. Take a coat as the place was like a fridge, due in part to the front door being left open for the ... Tap to view the full event review

Event Review: The Shirt Soul Club Radcliffe
Event: The Shirt Soul Club Radcliffe Review: 5 stars by Mickyfinn. Event Date: 4 Oct 2024 Drawn to event by the stellar DJ line, this was only my second visit to this unassuming venue. Small enough to make every beat feel personal, yet large enough to enjoy and express yourself. Musically it certainly packs a big punch. The dim lighting sets the mood and gives it a cozy almost underground feel. We arrived as Bob Spendlove was warming up the growing crowd with some soul gems, Maimie Lee, Chuck Cockerham and The Lovelites “Certain Kind of ... Tap to view the full event review

eBay Scrap Private Sellers Fees For Uk
ouch got that wrong bit below from that page makes it clear... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- How eBay balance affects your payouts Scheduled payouts are being removed for private sellers from 16 October 2024 as part of the launch of eBay balance. This means that if you’re a private seller, you won’t receive your payouts on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly schedule as the funds will be stored in your account as part of your balance. Your available funds will be sent to your eBay balance, typically in 1 day, where you can use them to pay for items, postage, and other selling costs on eBay.co.uk. Private sellers can still request payouts directly to a linked bank account the funds are available by selecting Withdraw in the Payments tab. If you’re a business seller on eBay, nothing will change and....

Silky Wilford - Artist
had the below sent in to site, thought worth a pass on here in freebasing 'I would like to introduce to you the music of Silky Wilford. An amazing British composer and singer, but always too busy working too hard to put the deserved attention on promoting her own songs. She's heavily soul-neosoul-r&b-jazz influenced, so I think you guys will definitely appreciate her music. Her spotify profile, with 4 singles, is Silky Wilford, on this link:'

eBay Scrap Private Sellers Fees For Uk
interesting move from ebay Uk msm quote/link 'Online retailer eBay has scrapped fees for private sellers across almost all of its categories as it attempts to keep fast-growing rivals such as Depop and Vinted at arm’s length. The move means eBay’s UK sellers no longer have to pay transaction fees, except for cars, motorcycles and other vehicles.' 'On Tuesday, eBay said its move, which has taken effect immediately, meant private sellers would no longer pay so-called final value fees or regulatory operating fees when they sold on the site.' https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/oct/01/online-retailer-ebay-scraps-fees-for-private-sellers-in-uk

Event Review: Stockport Ukrainian Club
Event: Stockport Ukrainian Club Review: 4 stars by Longin The Tooth. Event Date: 28 Sep 2024 This event was my port of call this weekend It was a small event with a big heart. The moment I walked into the room I saw that it was well attended and to hear tunes unknown to me. This theme continued for most of the night, there some of the top 500 played, but in general it was an education. Added to which the floor itself was good and a joy to do some moves on. The room was just the right size not to be intimidating, so ideal for somebody wh... Tap to view the full event review
