Not in the habit of mishearing people Phil. Especially not you

I'm tempted to say not by a country mile but something tells me you'll take that seriously

I reckon it has to be something legal like the credits or the title. It can't be anything else. They are the professionals and know what they are doing

Phil, you told me you couldn't stand the record!! And here you are saying it is one of the 3 records you wished you'd kept. I give up

I have Cynthia & Imaginations. It's good but not a patch on the Four Dynamics.

Things That A Lady is an absolutely incredible record. I can only dream of one day owning records as good as this. Truly stunning.

Hi Steve, If you'd seen the clip you would be cringing. Function at the Junction it definitely was not! Anyway, my main gripe about this film, albeit a big one , was that they used the original music. Going by the clip I saw yesterday that was indeed the case. But that was just one scene so only time will tell. As for them removing the clip because of negative feedback on here? I must say that surprised me a bit. But only because they didn't take a blind bit of notice of what anyone said on here when they were making the film. Maybe if they had done, they wouldn't have got it so wrong.

I agree. Absolutely hilarious! Yes that would be great. But when we first started going to nighters did any of the people who had been going for years give a back drop if we stuck with it? And did they worry about us keeping the scene going in the years to come? Did they fig Anyway, at least they used the original music in that clip that I saw. Well apart from the synthesised breaks they added for dramatic effect to go with the slow motion dance off

IpsoFactoCampo took them down minutes after they were posted on here.

Northern Soul Film
I can't comment on the rest of the film as I have only seen that one clip. But 'a bit on the cringeworthy side' it ain't... it's a cringe-fest That said, it is only a film at the end of the day, but why do they always have to make such an arse of it.

Stuart Ames
Have you heard Jock Mitchell - No Mad Woman - Golden Hit? It has the same backing as King for a Day. Every recording I have heard has a hiss right from the start. The hiss varies in length though. On some it lasts a few seconds whereas mine lasts half way through the record

Can Someone Post A Clip Of
I will have to go and dig it out. It is the same record as the Voltairs only a million times slower. But at least you can hear the words

Ha ha... hate? Behave Liam did you see the clip? It was shameful

Northern Soul Film
It was just like any old night at Burnley Phil... not!

That clip is only about 8 on the cringe scale. The one they removed is at least 100

Two blokes started fighting. Then one of the blokes calls the other one a crap dancer. They then start to have a 'dance off'. One of them does a bit of floor work.. then the other. One of them mis-judges his footwork and ends up falling flat on his face. Then.. yes you've got it.. a load of pills come flying out of the top of his vest, the sleeve of his vest, the waist band of his trousers, his socks, his ears, his eyes, his nose...

Northern Soul Film
I see IpsoFactoLaura is reading this thread now as I type.. why did you remove it Laura?

Tim Brown Talks.........thru His @rse
I wasn't talking about 2008 Martyn. I was talking about 2005. I decided to give it one last go in 2006 but he was even worse that year so I swore never to go again. I only went this year because of the Willingham room.

Tim Brown Talks.........thru His @rse
Afraid so. Tim Brown played Deep Dark Secret at Prestatyn and the rest of his spot was just as bad. In fact, it was this spot and the rest of the main room DJ's that year that had me vowing never to return. Couldn't believe it because the year before he played an absolutely fantastic spot! Anyway, no one said he hasn't got rare 45s.
