  4. Does nothing for me I’m afraid, but then this type of sound is not really my bag. Certainly not worth spending more money on the issue just to get this track, in my opinion that is.
  5. No UK issue to my knowledge. Try here for some info on the band https://www.midwesttribute.com/james_walsh_gypsy.html
  6. White, as in Maurice White, maybe!

  11. And much as I LOVE Otis Clay.. I used to cringe at his take on "Turn Back The Hands Of Time, Jee, I thought for one minute you were gonna diss Yazz
  12. Exactly what I was thinking when I saw it. '1991' but I heard it at Stafford in 1985 DT or MB, can't remember. Probably DT becasue Ady Pountain put a bit of it on tape for me circa 1984. Looked on the shelf and there's the said Jesse H form 1991; can't even remember where I bought it from, but couldn't have been a fortune.
  13. "Do you still have that Daybreak record?" "Ring me back after the news, ring me back at 7:10(PM)" "It's 7:11, you're late" "Do you still have that Daybreak record?" "What's it called?" "Everything man" "yeh, that'll be 75p" "75p?" "Yeh 75p for the the postage tw*t" " OK I'll send you a cheque" Cheque for £3 send - £2 for the record & £1 for P&P One pround owner of an issue of Daybreak 'I need love' for 2 quid!!! Just missed out on the Brooks Bothers for a fiver though

  16. Bell Boys – I don’t want to lose you Blue Sharks - These things Warren Shatz – Soon everything
  17. Mark Funny, but this was the first ‘northern’ single I ever bought; 50p at the Warrina in Peterborough. Didn’t really know or care about the ‘originals’ debate because it didn’t exist then. I wouldn’t sell it or snap it now even if I did own an original, probably swap it for one, but that’s about it. So there’ll be at least one in circulation for quite a while…

Certainly played at Cleethorpes around 82/3, but can't remember it being covered up. I bought it from Soul Bowl at the time, but not as a c/u, as Solid Gold Revue. However, a lot of new / recent releases were cover up for a week or so at that time. Collected more for the other side now, isn't it?
