Oddly enough, I was talking to mike cotton at the 100 club a few years back and he told me Mike Raven said if they did a version of SS he'd use it as his theme tune, I asked him if he still had it, he replied "Nah, not a patch on Willie Mitchell"
  8. Wasn't that the one that sounded like an instrumental of Shocking Blue's Venus? Grim indeed. On the subject of cover ups what was the male version of 'Right Direction'? John Vincent had it covered as Jerry Jackson(I think) in 78. link
  9. Sounds pretty bad now, almost as bad as Sams "Casino Strut" C/u from 1980 Anyone know who that was? Cheers Steve link
  10. Sore Losers / They don't know my heart Any ideas what this is ??? link

Sorry Pete, you´re dead wrong there!, I always loved Peter Hamilton(inst.) and played it regularly in the early 90´s when it was largely forgotten, on hearing the vocal, instantly hated it, tailor made rubbish! See me after school!

  20. Strange when you think, I couldn't get £15 for Another Day back in '86-'87!
  21. Yes "Another Day" was on pink Mir-A-Don (I think the 1st 3 releases were purple, the remainder pink, incidentally AD a far superior and rarer record than "Anytime"
  22. I must say, having had most of these records through my hands, they all look ok, asides from the Pearls, the label on mine was a much deeper red, it may just be the scan, also Soul Communicaters isn't that rare anyway, that and Ascots "Anytime" we around in abundance in the 80's, as was the Soul Gents etc.,etc......
  23. Chris Farlowe on Immediate L.P., can't remember title, not very good either.
  24. Weren´t these on Anglo-American as a limited re-press?
