Mike Raven
Oddly enough, I was talking to mike cotton at the 100 club a few years back and he told me Mike Raven said if they did a version of SS he'd use it as his theme tune, I asked him if he still had it, he replied "Nah, not a patch on Willie Mitchell"

Longest Cover Up 45 Going
Wasn't that the one that sounded like an instrumental of Shocking Blue's Venus? Grim indeed. On the subject of cover ups what was the male version of 'Right Direction'? John Vincent had it covered as Jerry Jackson(I think) in 78. link

Longest Cover Up 45 Going

Strange when you think, I couldn't get £15 for Another Day back in '86-'87!- Soul Communicaters On The 'bay
Yes "Another Day" was on pink Mir-A-Don (I think the 1st 3 releases were purple, the remainder pink, incidentally AD a far superior and rarer record than "Anytime"- Soul Communicaters On The 'bay
I must say, having had most of these records through my hands, they all look ok, asides from the Pearls, the label on mine was a much deeper red, it may just be the scan, also Soul Communicaters isn't that rare anyway, that and Ascots "Anytime" we around in abundance in the 80's, as was the Soul Gents etc.,etc......- Open The Door To Your Heart - How Many Versions?
Chris Farlowe on Immediate L.P., can't remember title, not very good either.- Any Opinions On This 45
