Just a couple. One of the natural ponds on or near Cockfield Fell. About another month this will be teeming with frog spawn and adult frogs. It dries up in late summer and pond flora grow. Then fills up with water in winter.

Rest in Peace Good Angel Kev, it was a privilege to share a dancefloor with you and I always enjoyed our chats on here and the laughs. Suz x

Much as I like a bit of sun now and again, I love my area and I think with a dusting of snow it looks even prettier. It is also seasonal. Best wishes

This isn't my video, but is off you tube taken of the recent snow in my area. I recognise Cockfield Fell, Woodland, Raby Castle and I think the village that is shown is Copley 2 miles from me (statistically the snowiest place in England and fifth snowiest in the UK) Not that much snow this time but still plenty of time for it

We get amazing sunrises and sunsets where I live. It looked like volcanic larva

It quite amazes me how they can spawn in the stream as it is quite shallow in parts, it goes into the River Gaunless where I thought they would spawn not the beck. The one I saw was huge, granted he was in the deepest pool. I knew we had fish living in there as we have two pair of Kingfishers at least on there as well as have seen Dippers feeding too.

I don't have a photo but on Saturday I was privileged to see a Sea Brown Trout in a little stream near me, they come to spawn and make the journey all the way to here. It was covered in white scales, this is something they gain to help them cope with the salt water. It was massive the fish I saw. It must be so healthy the beck and was lovely to see

Had a walk along another of my favourite walks on Sunday, the Old Tees Railway Walk Romaldkirk to Middleton in Teesdale. A beautiful Red Admiral landed on a bramble bush in front of me. I spent about ten minutes watching a bee and a hoverfly sharing a feed on Devils Bit Scabious. A few other bees and hoverfly taken too

Hedge Woundwort still flowering, some great types of fungi on Cockfield Fell too. I just love this place
