  1. I also have an odd version of it, by Jck Jones on Kapp. Can't remeber what it sounds like though
  2. Jimmy Robins has had minor spins on and off for years, It's defo early 70's but maintains the R&B 60's feel rather than moving over to the funk influence.
  3. I'm torn between L Allen - Can't We Talk It Over for the intro that is instantly recognisable and drags me to the floor when ever i hear it and the Dells Make Sure s it's for me the best group harmony allround feeling of soulfullness at an available price to anyone etc etc.
  4. Started out for me when my Ma and PA were running a youth club, I was about 11 or 12. The older lads used to turn up on a Sunday evening after Wigan and take over the tiny record player to spin their new sounds. No memories of excat tunes; however the "no turning back moment" happened at the tender age of 13 walking up the stairs at the Stars and Stripes Yate (the brief second coming of the club) and being hit by the heat and fervour as everyone flew to the floor to the opening bars of L. Allen Can't We Talk it over. Over the years my hair has stood on end so much that it's all but fallen out now!!!
  5. Changing the tack a little, there was an LP only track played by Keb (i think, my memory of that period is extremely hazy!) at Stafford, called Losing Control by a female artist, and i believe it was only a Canadian LP too. Does anyone have a clue what i am on about and who it was by, what the album was and how much is it if available etc?

Just to finish off with my twopenn'orth. Matt, thanks for the mail last night offering your copy, however i took Bretts approach and offered him circa £100 for a copy, i think it translated to around £105 in all. My logic in this is that even though Danny Moore turned up in quantity, you could at one time get it for around £60 it's now still near the £80-£100 mark and not likely to shift from that (downwards anyway) as its a monster that i have always been in love with i think that i'll keep it for eons and resell value doesn't interest me. So by offering around the ton and getting one i am backing it not to fall much shorter than that so won't lose out value wise, but will be able to play it endlessly. I'm happy all round, I also got a copy of Drizabone - pressure 12" from ebay, for £12!! the guy was an 80's hip hop DJ and selling up his collection under the Hip Hop category, couldn't belive my luck for a change!!!
