Help Needed To Identify A Mis-labelled Disc
There are "handwritten" matrix numbers on each side MC 005 and MC 006 The "Kiss Me Now" side is an uptempo number which starts with a Motownish intro and then male backing singers singing "baby baby oh how I love you but you treated me so untrue" (I think), then the female kicks in with "Where were you when I needed someone"...there are famale backing singers too that kick in separately to the males.. 1965 David the song you describe sounds like Thelma Lindsay - Why werent you there (where were you) / Prepared to love you Issued on Magic City MC005 Hope that clears the identity bit, as for the mis - labeling......... who knows Best M.

No doubt the girl in question knows all about this now rather lengthy debate which is re-running old ground . Im not sure how she now feels but my thoughts go out to her, Yes I have my own views and standards on this highly charged issue but consider this:- If the girl is considered up to the job by the events promoters, and can fill the floor for an hour keeping a hundred or so paying punters happy, then it seems to me it would be a sad loss if this debate turns out to have upset her enough to force her away from DJ'ing If they danced, smiled and didn't ask for their money back - She did the Job!! Well said that man!- Soul Night Disgrace
To avoid the risk of upsetting people I have left a blank space below B_TH! M.- Soul Night Disgrace
There are a fair few originals could do with being left at home! M.- Soul Night Disgrace
As mentioned earlier Steve, a lot depends on the sound system - most are very poor! however some of the 'boots' were mastered from poor condition originals in the 70's & 80's so are only as good as the quality of said originals, proper re-issues such as adey's kent offerings etc benefit from being transferred from proper masters with the benefit of modern technology and computer wizzadry so sound quality is excellent, again it all depends on the sound system M.- Soul Night Disgrace
In all honesty a lot of the sound systems used these days are that poor you wouldnt be able to tell wether it was the record or system that made it sound so bad, a bit less spent on vinyl and a few quid more thrown in to equipment is no bad idea in my oppinion - Price Please?
