Rosey Grier Feature
https://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80c02ad7 No mention of Pizza Pie Man yet, but the producers did sneak in a little bit of Keith Mansfield.

Quickest Turnaround / Biggest Profit
not a HUGE profit margin, but pretty quick turnaround. At a record show, I bought a fairly whipped copy of McKinley James "Tuskeegee Boogie" on Tomahawk (blues 45) for $1, walked about 8 tables down from where I bought it, and sold it for $40.

Wait. Recordfinders had something in stock?!?!!?!

A-1 Acetate Identification Needed
Picked this up over the weekend a step away from it's original source, so I wasn't able to learn much about its background. The "Achin' Heart" side, I actually think I would like if I could hear it the whole way through, but it's very badly flaked and only what you will hear below was salvageable from the platter. "Miracle Worker" sounds unfinished but I was able to record the entire track cleanly (only a part of it included below). Does anyone know if this saw a vinyl release or who the singer is? The Miracle Worker I Can't Stop This Achin' Heart

Willie Mitchell That Driving Beat Hi Label Scan Please
If you're also interested in a scan of the stock pressing, I think I have one of those at home and can scan it this evening.

Billy Byrd 45 On Scream
Hopefully somebody has one that they wouldn't mind parting with. PM or email if so!

Tyrone Mccollum & The Inclines
I'm assuming that Tyrone McCollum & the Inclines "I Don't Want To Cry" on Atco is the same group that did "Pressure Cooker" on Hawk and Atco, and the two GIL label 45s as well. If they are, I would like to buy a copy of this 45, hopefully for less than Manship's price. If anyone can help, I've got cash waiting.

Eula Cooper Reissue?
there was a reissue/boot (?) with a gold label rather than orange. You could also buy the Tragar/Note compilation on Numero Group for less than the price of a bottle of scotch (at least less than a bottle of good scotch)

Deejaying With Vinyl ( Best Practises )
I use these. They track extremely well at light tone arm weight, have a fine balance of highs to lows and I think they're ideal for anyone who isn't a hip hop styled DJ. I've been using them for around three years and haven't ever second guessed them. I change out the needles on them about every 6 months.

For starters, I think that the Georgia Soul archives sure could use a copy of this....
-
Grover Mitchell - Turned On
thanks very much. If anyone else might have it, don't be shy about PMing me. I'll post here when (if?) I get one sorted.

Grover Mitchell - Turned On
Anyone have a copy of this one for me?

Wanted
This one, like quite a few Josie titles, was licensed from a local label. The Truetones first appeared on the Soulville label out of Atlanta (not to be confused with the Pennsylvania-based Soulville label). I think the Truetones might have been based in either South or North Carolina, however.

Items For Sale On Soulbid
This is probably more appropriate for another section of the forum, but why hasn't soulbid ever caught on? It's been around for years. Every time I've looked at it, it *seems* (right or wrong) that it isn't getting very much traffic, which in turn prevents me from wanting to list records there. What would be the tipping point for sellers and buyers to put more faith into an ebay competitor?
